Detectives have issued a CCTV image of a man they wish to talk to in connection with an attempted burglary in Braintree.
The incident happened at Station Road at about 4pm on Tuesday September 2.
A man was seen to climb over a gate into the rear garden of a property where he tried unsuccessfully to break into an outbuilding and the ground floor window of the house.
He was described as being white, tall, slim and aged between 40 and 50. He was said to have dark hair but ‘bald on top’. He wearing a dark top, blue jeans and white trainers and was carrying a black record bag.
A man of a similar description was seen on CCTV a few streets away. He was heading towards Braintree town centre.
Investigating officer DC Michael Pannell said: "We would like to hear from the man or anyone who can identify him to establish whether he had been in Station Road.”
