Residents have been invited to nominate Neighbourhood Watch members for an award backed by Essex Police.
The Essex Neighbourhood Watch Member of the Year Award is open to all co-ordinators and active members in the county.
Alan Johnson, chairman of the Essex County Neighbourhood Watch Association, said: "Neighbourhood Watch provides a great opportunity for people to get involved in their communities, create a strong local spirit and crucially help keep their community safe.”
Each district will judge the nominations and submit one candidate for the Essex Member of the Year Award.
All the other candidates will receive a certificate of appreciation at a ceremony in May 2015.
To make a nomination, download and complete a nomination form from essexnhw.org.uk or www.essex.police.uk/nhw.
The form can either be dropped in at your local police station or emailed to the contact in the relevant district listed on the websites.
The closing date is Friday, April 17.
