YOUNG people are being encouraged to join a newly formed Youth Chamber of Commerce in the hope of finding Witham's young entrepreneurs.

The current Chamber of Commerce in Witham, chaired by Tina Townsend, wanted to include people from the ages of 11 to 21 in decision making in the town.

They have organised for a youth chamber to be set up on Thursday, May 12, and are looking for more people to join.

The new chamber has been endorsed by Witham MP Priti Patel, who is keen to see more entrepreneurship in the town.

Tina Townsend said: "We came up with the idea after we identified that the youth are our tomorrow, and we want to get them on board to find out what they want to do in Witham.

"We are really keen to find the young entrepreneurs in the town, and this will give them an experience to put on their CVs, being able to say they have worked on business projects."
