AN ELECTRICAL company raised £725 for a local hospice by participating in a charity challenge.

Boddingtons Electric, based in Great Notley, took part in Farleigh Hospice's £50 challenge whereby staff from the business had to make as much money from the original sum as possible.

Over the course of twelve weeks, the team at the company organised numerous fundraising events for the local community.

Events included arranging a community barbecue, in-house sweepstakes during the summer's major sporting events, a raffle and an auction.

The money will be used to help Farleigh Hospice continue improving the lives of people affected by life changing illnesses.

Senior Coordinator at Boddingtons Electrical, Jenny Aley, said “The Farleigh Hospice £50 challenge gave us the opportunity to come up with some great ideas with a challenge and a bit of a twist.

"This approach added that extra bit of enthusiasm and the variety of ways in which our staff contributed to the task was amazing, resulting in £725 raised for a charity that really goes that extra mile to give support to those who need it. We can't wait until the next opportunity to support this charity.”
