The Christmas break was short lived for Olly Murs.

The X Factor runner up has been touring the country ever since the ITV show finished.

On Boxing Day Olly, of Carraways, Witham, took to the stage of a nightclub in Worcester.

The Worcester News, a fellow Newsquest title, has footage of the Witham wonder wowing the crowd (see link below).

Olly, 25, spent Christmas at home.

But before and after the festivities he was busy pleasing fans, performing tracks which won over the public on the show, along with his trademark dance moves.

In Worcester he performed Fool In Love, Twist and Shout, Can You Feel It and Stevie Wonder’s Superstition.

He said: “This time last year I was gigging in a pub and now I’m coming here and you’re all here to see me.

“You lot are mental. I love it.

“And trust me, whoever does the X Factor, it’s not an easy experience. You’ve got to go through so many auditions before you even get to the judges.”

Olly sang closer to home on Christmas Eve, with a stint at Escape in Copford, near Colchester.

And on Sunday the former Witham Town footballer sang to thousands of screaming fans in Liverpool after earlier in the day performing to rugby fans at the Harlequins versus Wasps fixture.
